Meet the Airlines - IATA, together with key representatives of a number of its major airline members, will be discussing the challenges we are facing together as we implement many of the IATA programmes that have been outlined at previous PTE conferences. The airline speakers, together with representatives from the airports where they are working on these initiatives, will talk about how they perceive the implementation process, both the opportunities and the challenges.

Corneel Koster, Chief Operating Officer, Aeromexico, Mexico

Speaker Biography: As COO of Grupo Aeroméxico, Corneel is overall responsible for the operational, maintenance performance, service design and delivery of Mexico's leading global airline group, operating 650 flights a day. He also oversees Aeroméxico's cargo and ground handling subsidiaries. Corneel has a wealth of international leadership experience in the airline industry in senior operational as well as commercial roles held at Aeroméxico, Virgin Atlantic, KLM, KLM Cargo, Air France KLM and a ground handling subsidiary. He previously served as Virgin Atlantic’s Director of Operations, Safety and Security. Corneel has a huge passion for delivering an excellent customer experience, while continuously strengthening operational performance and teamwork. Corneel obtained an MSc in Business Administration at Groningen University in the Netherlands in 1997.
 
José Luis Romo Cruz, Corporate Director of Planning and Evaluation, Grupo Aeroportuario de la Ciudad de México, Mexico

Speaker Biography: José Luis Romo is a Mexican economist who has studied at the University of Warwick in England and Harvard University in the USA. For the last 15 years he has held different positions in the Mexican Government, including the Ministry of Finance, the National Commission for the Social Protection in Health, and the Mexican Social Security Institute. Since September 2013 he has been responsible for the Planning and Evaluation office at the New Airport Project of Mexico City, one of the three largest infrastructural airport projects worldwide. The construction of the new international airport is set to begin in 2015 and is expected to be up and running by 2020. The total investment is planned around US$13bn. In its maximum development phase it will have six runways and will transport around 120 million passengers each year.

Speaker Biography: Antoinette is a registered architect and urban designer with 25 years’ experience across a wide range of projects. She has a degree in Architecture from the University of Sydney, and Master's in Urban Design. She has directed a range of projects at Heathrow and London Stansted Airport, including the strategic and landside masterplan for Heathrow Airport, new Satellite Pier designed for off-site manufacture, and the redevelopment of Terminal 3, including the Virgin Atlantic Upper Class Terminal. She has been lead architect for the concept design of Heathrow East Terminal, a 30mppa facility for Star Alliance. She was the design team leader for the first commercial spaceport for Virgin Galactic at Spaceport America, New Mexico, following which she directed the masterplan for Incheon Terminal 2. Currently she is a design team leader for the expansion of Tocumen International Airport Terminal, Panama, and Mexico City Airport.

Perfecto Solis, Senior Vice-President - Americas, Parsons, USA

Speaker Biography: Perfecto M. Solis, P.E., is a Senior Vice President with Parsons and is responsible for the day-to-day management of North and South America including the profit and loss, resource management and growing of the business for the aviation division. Before coming to Parsons early this year, Perfecto was the Vice President of airport development and engineering, overseeing all capital development for Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, totalling nearly US$4bn. With nearly 30 years’ experience as a licensed professional engineer, including 25 years exclusively in aviation, Perfecto is recognised as an industry leader and expert in the field of airport development and engineering.
