IATA Day

Meet the Airlines - IATA, together with key representatives of a number of its major airline members, will be discussing the challenges we are facing together as we implement many of the IATA programmes that have been outlined at previous PTE conferences. The airline speakers, together with representatives from the airports where they are working on these initiatives, will talk about how they perceive the implementation process, both the opportunities and the challenges.

Lian Zhang, Manager, Consulting, Airport Passenger Cargo and Security, IATA, Singapore

Speaker Biography: Based in Singapore, Lian is a multi-skilled airport manager with experience in terminal planning, capacity analysis, airport operations and aviation research. He has a wide range of airport projects experience at some of world’s leading hub airports such as London Heathrow, Hong Kong International and Narita International.
 
Hideharu Miyamoto, Vice President Corporate Strategies & Planning, Narita International Airport, Japan

Speaker Biography: Miyamoto-san joined Narita International Airport Corporation (NAA) in 1986. Over the past three decades he has been involved in projects covering a wide range of important topics such as environment, local community relationship, passenger terminal management, IT planning and human resource management. Miyamoto-san also served with the Research & Planning Division of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) in Japan on a secondment mission for two years. Since 2008, Miyamoto-san has been working as a Vice President at the Corporate Strategies & Planning Division in charge of special projects.
 
Paul Behan, Director, Passenger, IATA, Switzerland

Speaker Biography: Paul is Director, Passenger for the International Air Transport Association. He is responsible for the strategic direction of how IATA is working to improve the experience of the passenger through process and technology enhancement. Paul leads the industry initiatives for improving the passenger experience through the Fast Travel, Passenger Facilitation and Smart Security projects, as well as development areas related to new innovations including biometrics, baggage and mobile solutions. Paul also leads various industry standards bodies tasked with delivering change in airline and airport processes. Prior to his current role, Paul created the IATA Common Use Self-Service and Fast Travel projects. He has been in the aviation industry for 20 years.
