Synopsis: A growing number of airports are adding art and culture displays to their public spaces. San Francisco International Airport has had such a programme in place for over 30 years, and was the first airport to gain accreditation from the American Alliance of Museums. Its pioneering work and unique programmes have delighted travellers since 1980, adding an additional dimension to the travel experience. The airport also maintains the San Francisco Airport Commission Aviation Library and Louis A. Turpen Aviation Museum on site.
