Maureen Riley, Executive Director, Salt Lake City Department of Airports, USA

Speaker Biograghy: Maureen has served as the Executive Director of the Salt Lake City Department of Airports since 2007. She has over 25 years' experience in the airport industry in a variety of airport leadership positions, with a background in financial management. Maureen worked for Leigh Fisher Associates in the late 1990s as a Senior Consultant, working at airports all across the United States. She also worked for a total of 13 years at the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, where she filled several positions, including Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer and, finally, filled the role of Deputy Executive Director. She is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Certified Public Accountant.

09:40 - 10:10 - Airlines and airports working together to meet capital infrastructure needs
Synopsis: SLC is launching a $1.8 billion terminal redevelopment programme. Over the last three, airport staff have worked with airline representatives to identify the capital needs and the best solution for implementation of a comprehensive rebuilding programme that includes new rental car facilities, a parking garage, terminal and gates, as well as associated roadways and airfield improvements. No protests or challenges were received from any airline or other stakeholder during the approval process. An affordable plan of finance was created that results in low costs for the airlines and a facility that meets the needs of the future.
