Hidehisa Matsumoto, Senior Manager, Narita International Airport Corporation, Japan

Speaker Biograghy: Hidehisa Matsumoto is a Senior Manager in the IT Development & Planning Department at Narita International Airport Corporation (NAA). He started his NAA career immediately after graduating from university, and has been working for the company for 17 years. His principal duties involve an extensive range of ICT solutions, especially in relation to improving customer convenience under the i-Airport Strategy. He recently developed a voice-agent concierge app for smart devices, and is also known for the Notes-based passenger information service he launched in the past, which served as a model for other airports in Japan. Before taking on his present position, Hidehisa worked in the Public Relations Office for seven years, where he worked on building and improving NAA’s corporate brand strategies.

Synopsis: Improving customer convenience is a high-priority issue for Narita International Airport. For this reason, NAA established the i-Airport Strategy with the objective of harnessing ICT to create advanced airport services. Under this strategy, NAA is producing a range of new services for smart devices. This presentation will provide an overall description of the i-Airport strategy and highlight some of the projects that are under way.
