Speaker Biograghy: Martin has worked in aviation since 1994. He started at Czech Airports Authority – now Prague Ruzyne Airport – in various positions in operations, corporate relations and IT, including Director of Operations (2000-2002) and General Director (2002-2005), responsible for Prague Terminal 2 development and financing. He worked as an aviation consultant from 2005-2007, providing IT advice for the SVO T3 project. He has been General Director at Vodochody Airport since 2007, and is responsible for the development of the Vodochody Airport Project.

11:25 - 11:55 - Vodochody Airport – aviation alternative for Prague
Synopsis: The presentation will discuss the redevelopment of an airport used for aircraft testing and production into a modern airport with prime focus on LCCs. This semi-greenfield project is just 15km from Prague city centre, next to the highway, with planned infrastructure tailor-made for LCC operations and an existing 2.5km runway. Planned capacity: 3.5m annual passengers and 35,000 annual aircraft movements. The project recently passed environmental impact assessment, and the process of obtaining building permit is under way.
