Speaker Biograghy: Renaud is Marketing Manager for the Travel market at Gemalto, in charge of electronic passport and related solutions. He has held various marketing and business development positions at Gemalto over the last 17 years. His previous assignment was in a business development role in Africa for government programmes related to secure electronic documents projects, civil registration and voter registration programmes. Renaud graduated from Marseille Business School and London Middlesex Business School with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies.

Synopsis: The International Civil Aviation Organization is working on the next evolution of the e-passport standard, initially implemented in 2004. The presentation will present the impact of the upcoming standard on the complete ecosystem (visa enrolment, border control, airline loyalty programmes, duty free, access to online services) with innovative use cases such as loading of a visa on an e-passport through an NFC-enabled mobile phone. This next version will introduce exciting changes, with the ability to post issue data in a passport during its lifetime to load and read electronic visas and entry/exit stamping.
