David has been with Gatwick Airport since the sale of the airport by BAA. On joining Gatwick David led the IT commercial split activities. He now leads the programme to transform the passenger experience in all terminal and security areas, especially in the use of biometrics in all parts of the journey. David has previously worked in local and central government organisations across the UK.

Synopsis: David will cover the development of innovative products across the passenger journey, starting off-site with the new Gatwick Airport website, moving on-site with revolutionary bagdrop concept based on web services. Then into security with face recognition for queue timing, iris scanning for domestic border security and the highest throughput security lane in the world. After that he will move to focus on how Gatwick partnered with the UK Border Force to implement similar technologies to drive performance at the border. The ultimate passenger experience will prove that no queues is not only a target – it's a reality.
