Thomas Windmuller, Senior Vice President, Airport, Passenger, Cargo & Security (APCS), IATA, Switzerland

Speaker Biograghy: Thomas has served the global airline industry in a broad cross-section of positions over the past 23 years. Currently he is IATA’s Senior Vice President, Airport, Passenger and Cargo Services, responsible for IATA’s relations with airports, fuel supply, passenger experience, cargo, security and ground handling for IATA member airlines and industry partners around the world. Thomas came to the world of civil aviation following a career of diplomatic service for the United States Government. Among his diplomatic assignments, he was responsible for US aviation relations with the European Union, and for US aviation security policy. He also served as the US Civil Air Attaché at the US Embassy to the Federal Republic of Germany. Thomas is a graduate of Cornell University and holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
