Speaker Biograghy: Charles has 20 years of energy management experience. Previous roles include: Senior Utility Analyst, Atlanta Housing Authority, Atlanta, GA, where he managed the USA's first energy savings performance contract for public housing, and managed utilities for the USA's fourth-largest public housing authority; Resource Efficiency Manager, US Department of Defense, where he managed energy savings performance contracts, developed energy programmes, developed and implemented energy savings projects, and developed renewable energy; Utilities Manager, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Atlanta, GA, where he developed an energy management programme and comprehensive energy and water management plans, and took the lead in utilities management in the Eco-District. He is a Certified Energy Manager, Certified Energy Auditor, Certified Building Commissioning Professional, Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional, Project Management Professional and Prosci Change Management Professional. Charles has been a speaker on numerous panels, is a committee member at the American Association of Airport Executives, and an ACRP Panel Member.

09:40 - 10:10 - Airport Eco-District: utilities management
Synopsis: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and its stakeholders developed the first Eco-District, which focus on sustainability for the airport and its stakeholders. One of the subcommittees is the Utilities Committee, which is focusing on creating a synergy to reduce energy and water usage at the airport, establish measurement and verification to quantify energy and water savings across all airport stakeholders, and create systems and processes to support energy and water conservation.
