Speaker Biograghy: Since joining the company in 2004, Ken has gained experience in airport airside operation, customer service and aviation sales. Since April 2013 he has been in charge of international relations and business development. In this post, he is engaged in public relations on environmental issues in Japan and internationally, and he is responsible for internal management related to environmental issues.

09:10 - 09:40 - To be the world's largest and Asia's first hydrogen-grid airport
Synopsis: Kansai International Airport (KIX) has been working on a variety of environmental measures since it opened in 1994. KIX aims to become an 'environmentally advanced airport', and has recently been focusing on a hydrogen energy system and working towards the realisation of hydrogen-grid airport. KIX is now trying to be a 'smart island' based on the concept of environmentally friendly airport using hydrogen energy system effectively and building a model of global energy utilisation at all airports. This presentation will discuss KIX's plan using the latest hydrogen grid, which is already being used at the airport.
