Jean Salomon, Principal, JSCP, France

Speaker Biograghy: Jean Salomon, Chemical Engineer and PhD, joined IBM France before holding various senior academic positions in medical biophysics overseas. He then worked as European Product Manager for a leading medical imaging equipment manufacturer. He spent over 20 years as SVP with IER, enhancing its world leadership in access control, passenger and baggage automation, and intelligent logistics solutions for the transportation and security industries. As a core member of IATA’s SPT (now Passenger Facilitation WG) and ICAO’s NTWG and ICBWG, he developed a unique process-orientated expertise in MRTDs and e-passports, related IT infrastructure, as well as process re-engineering towards advanced border clearance processes Jean is an ISO expert in SC17 and SC37, serves as external independent expert at Frontex and is co-chairing the Advisory Board of FIDELITY, a FP7 European consortium project on the future of MRTDs. A seasoned speaker at major travel and security industry world forums, Jean runs JSCP, a transportation, logistics and security consulting practice, which focuses on helping clients worldwide generate value through optimised and streamlined flow control processes.
