Brian Engle, Director of Customer Services, Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, USA

Speaker Biograghy: Brian is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and holds a BSc in Aeronautical Studies and Airport Management. He started his aviation career with Evergreen International Aviation in 1990, managing various aircraft ground handling and passenger handling contracts before becoming Director of Ground Logistics and Operations with Evergreen in 1996. In 1997 he joined Northwest Airlines Inc and served as Director of Airport Operations based in Orlando, FL (MCO) until 2009, when Northwest merged with Delta Air Lines Inc. As a result of the merger, Brian transitioned to Delta Air Lines and served as Operations Manager in MCO. In 2010 Brian joined AirTran Airways in Orlando and served as the Senior Station Manager. As a result of the acquisition of AirTran Airways by Southwest Airlines in late 2010, Brian joined Southwest Airlines and is now responsible for the combined operations of both airlines, which comprises 40% of the total passenger traffic in MCO. Brian served as Chairman of the Orlando Airport Management Council in 2002, leading the airline management group during the transition of airport security from private vendor to the TSA in the aftermath of 9/11. In 2006 he served as Chairman of the Orlando Airport Security Council; he is currently chairman of the Orlando Airport Management Council. Brian has been a co-chairman for the Passenger Terminal EXPO security conference since 2007.
