Speaker Biograghy: Alexander is Chief Executive Officer of the Airport Division of ThyssenKrupp Access Solutions, one of the world's leading providers of mobility solutions. He has worked for the past 20 years in different divisions of ThyssenKrupp Elevator in leadership roles in general management, service operations, sales, marketing, business development and strategy. His educational background has been varied, studying an MBA, complemented by a CIM Marketing Diploma at Bradford University, which he passed with distinction. He has a BSc in Economics from Kassel, Germany and attended the Harvard Business School to study 'Breaking New Grounds – Business Strategy' among other things. He is an experienced speaker at the main events of the airport industry, and has given speeches about the A380 boarding solutions worldwide.

Synopsis: Fraport, in its continuous search to improve the passenger experience at Frankfurt Airport, is looking into integrating a new innovative transportation system that will dramatically improve connection times between gates. This system, named ACCEL, created by ThyssenKrupp, is a technology that will improve transit times between gates; passengers will experience no waiting time and need only 140 seconds to cover a distance of 270m, instead of the earlier 415 seconds. This results in a saving of 66% for passengers. The importance of such an implementation will be highlighted for planning processes and facility development projects.
