Peter Mayerhofer, Chief Infrastructure Officer, AMG Airport Management Group, Kazakhstan

Speaker Biograghy: Peter joined Austrian Airlines Passenger Service back in 1977. Later he occupied different positions including Instructor in the internal training department, Station Manager at Moscow Sheremetievo Airport and Head of Cargo Document Handling at Vienna Airport. In 1996 he joined Vienna International Airport as Head of the Load Control and Red Cap Service. After two years he became Head of Terminal Management. In this function he was also responsible for the new terminal at Vienna. Later he was in charge of the ORAT programme and the startup of operation of Terminal 3. Finally he was the Masterplan Coordinator for the Operations Department. Since January 2014 he has been an independent consultant and was engaged to support the opening of Baku's new terminal. Since 2015 he has been Chief Infrastructure Officer at AMG.

11:15 - 11:40 - A fresh approach to Kazakhstan Airports
Synopsis: A company has been set up to be in charge of 11 state-owned airports in Kazakhstan with the aim of bringing those airports to international level and establishing a service-orientated and economical approach. The presentation will deal with the projects initiated for the infrastructure and the masterplanning for the airports, with a special focus on the capital airport of Astana and the new development at Shymkent, the third biggest city in Kazakhstan.
