Speaker Biograghy: Chris joined Calgary International Airport in 1977. He held roles in Maintenance, Operations, Ground Transportation, Airport Terminal Services and Passenger Experience. Chris has been responsible for airport signage, passenger flows, stanchion layout, luggage carts, porters, special needs services, special events and smoking services. He is now Director, Connections and Agency Readiness, specialising in all things related to connecting at an airport. Chris holds BAs in Psychology from the University of Calgary, and Civil Engineering Technology from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Synopsis: Ensuring Calgary International Airport’s new terminal efficiently facilitates all types of connections between the various sectors at the airport (domestic, international, and US transborder) is a unique challenge. The team has had to plan for passenger and baggage connections with multiple governmental agencies, airlines and stakeholders despite dynamic and uncertain regulations and policies. The end result will be a new state-of-the-art international/US terminal that is adaptable for all connections, which is slated to open in October 2016.
