Speaker Biograghy: Ralphy has many years' experience, accumulated in various areas of information technology. During most of the last 25 years he has mainly consulted, assisted and guided in the field of IT systems within many different organisations, dealing with the entire range of current technologies. He focuses on analysis, understanding the needs and business procedures, defining the organisation's informational necessities and characterising the requirements in the field of the required systems, as a basis for building a road map - strategic and operational plan for information systems and technology, and supporting the realisation of such complex procedures. This activity is usually related to the management of the organisations, and their information technology managers (CIO). The accumulated knowledge and experience allows communication with the senior organisation level, assisting and guiding them through the implementation phase as well as providing knowledge and assistance in the complex IT world.

Synopsis: The presentation will discuss the process and outcomes of the strategic plan for the IT of the Israel Airports Authority, and will compare the different emphases for developing strategic plans for airports versus other verticals. The main issues that will be analysed will be the different priorities between the verticals: for the airport industry it starts from security and safety as a first priority through operational challenges to financial stability; in other verticals, the first priority is the finance issues through operational issues targeted at profit.
