Candace McGraw, Chief Executive Officer, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, USA

Speaker Biograghy: Candace was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) in July 2011. She has over 25 years' experience in aviation, legal affairs and public administration. Since joining CVG, Candace has focused on positioning the airport for the future by completing a 2035 Master Plan Study; consolidating operations into a renovated terminal facility; and diversifying revenues through targeted cargo, land and concessions improvements. Candace is proud to lead a team that has been recognised by SkyTrax as the Best Regional Airport in North America for five consecutive years. Candace is active in a number of local community boards as well as the aviation industry, including serving on the board of Airport Council International - North America.

Synopsis: ROELOF-JAN STEENSTRA: Airport corporate social responsibility means considering the environment, economic and social impact of every action taken at the airport. As airports, we must be sensitive to the unique priorities of employees, customers, partners and stakeholders, and of the countless people who depend on the airport to meet their needs, respecting their interests and upholding their values. Presenting various elements of corporate social responsibility as it relates to employee wellbeing, community relations and strategic and operating environment. CANDACE MCGRAW: Airports are catalysts for regional economic development and job creation, and as such are tightly connected to the surrounding community and its mission and vision. Airport operators realise that vibrant relationships with all airport stakeholders are a pre-condition for success. The notion of corporate social responsibility should be instilled in every employee: a well-managed airport is one of the community's and region's most valuable assets as well as a source of civic pride. We will discuss how spending time today to get things right will benefit employees and the various communities we serve, while at the same time securing our own futures as thriving and sustainable airports.

Synopsis: The Passenger Terminal EXPO theme for 2016 reflects the entire passenger experience travelling to, from and throughout the airport. We know that our passengers can only experience a safe, efficient, customer-friendly environment if the right human factors are in place. The underpinning of all successful airports is their human capital. As such, this presentation and the following two presentations will focus on successful human resources programmes: recruitment, retention, training and succession planning. The panel will present various elements necessary for a well-defined human resources pipeline.
