Richard Gomez, Vice President of Education, MedAire, USA

Speaker Biograghy: Richard started his career in the aviation industry in 1985 as a crew member at AmericaWest Airlines and quickly rose through the ranks. During his tenure at AmericaWest Airlines he served in various positions, including Manager of Regulatory Compliance, Manager of Inflight Training, Manager of Policies & Procedures and lastly, as Base Manager overseeing 2,500+ flight attendants. Richard joined MedAire in 2005 to lead its global aviation training solutions. Today he oversees a team of 80+ professional trainers and successfully implemented training for more than 10,000 crew members and airport staff around the world last year. Richard is also responsible for the curriculum development and maintenance of 15 certified medical and disability training programmes that include regulatory oversight by such bodies as EASA, FAA and CAA, AHA, ERC and DOT.

This presentation will examine common PRM issues facing airport personnel that affect airport operations. Lastly, this presentation will provide airport management PRM training curriculum development recommendations targeting global alignment between airport and airlines.
