Hock Lye Lee, Director and Head, Operations Development, Consultancy, Changi Airports International, Singapore

Speaker Biograghy: Hock Lye Lee joined Changi Airports International as Director and Head, Operations Development & Service Consultancy in 2014. Prior to that he was seconded from Singapore Airlines to Star Alliance as Vice President, Products & Services, responsible for defining the role, vision and mission of the products and services division in the context of the overall alliance strategy. His business unit was instrumental in setting the benchmark for the airline and alliance industries by winning the prestigious SkyTrax Best Airline Alliance award six out of eight times since its introduction. Hock Lye Lee brings with him 25 years of aviation experience ranging from station management and airport operations, to frequent flyer programme administration and alliance products development. He graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Accountancy and the Institute of Education with a Diploma in Education.

Synopsis: In 2014, Changi Airports International together with Odebrecht TransPort (OTP) successfully bid for Tom Jobim International Airport in Rio de Janeiro. Since then CAI, through its consulting units, has been working closely with the local airport management, Concessionaria Aeroporto Rio de Janeiro (CARJ), to give Brazil's second busiest airport a major overhaul to prepare it for the 18 million travellers expected to use it in 2016. When visitors from all over the globe converge in Rio in August for the world's largest sporting event, they will be treated to a rejuvenated Tom Jobim International Airport.
