Susan Baer, Global Aviation Leader, Ove Arup and Partners Ltd, USA

Speaker Biograghy: Based in New York, Sue leads Arup’s aviation business in the Americas. She is a dynamic, 37-year veteran of the aviation industry, and the first person to manage all of the major Port Authority of New York and New Jersey airports. Before joining Arup, Sue was Director of Aviation at the Port Authority, responsible for the world’s busiest airport systems – John F. Kennedy International, Newark Liberty International, LaGuardia, Teterboro and Stewart International – with a US$2.5bn annual operating budget and a multi-billion-dollar capital programme. Sue’s unrivalled airport operations and management experience provides her with a keen understanding of all aspects of the aviation business, which she is using to bring new focus to Arup’s wide range of aviation offerings focusing on providing a multi-disciplinary approach to client needs. She has been the project director on both phases of the Arup-funded research project on the future of airports.
