Speaker Biograghy: James has identified, recruited and screened high-potential candidates for over 30 years. The range of positions filled includes entry, supervisory, management and executive levels in government, private and non-profit sectors. James began his career in suburban policing in the United States, where he served as Recruiting Officer and Background Investigator. He served as Chief of Police/Director of Public Safety for the MSP International Airport from 1985-2002. From 2002-2006 he held Federal Executive positions with TSA, including Acting Director of the North Central Division overseeing over 7,000 employees. He was Project Manager on airport projects in Washington DC, San Francisco and Boston. He worked as a consultant for Delta Global Services for three years. James is an attorney, FBI National Academy graduate and former liaison to Interpol for ACI. Personal fact: His favourite hobby is biking, a challenge during Minnesota winters when days are short, cold and snowy.

Synopsis: This portion of the panel presentation will focus on identifying and vetting high-potential employees for positions throughout the aviation industry. The aviation industry requires the best resources in human capital. This is critical for safe and secure operation within the budgetary resources available. Identifying the critical components of positions, casting the search net widely enough and investing the time in thorough backgrounds is necessary for every high-functioning organisation. Attendees will leave with a checklist of eight items that will help guide them as they fill future positions with team players who are innovative, trustworthy and flexible.
