Speaker Biograghy: April’s broad interior design expertise encompasses office, retail and hospitality projects, with a speciality in passenger-orientated airport terminal design. As a key member of Alliiance’s aviation team, she has worked at over 25 airports internationally. Several of her projects have garnered awards from industry organisations and publications. April brings a unique perspective to airports and strives to enrich passenger experiences by infusing terminal interiors with a sense of local identity. She has researched the practical impacts of generational shifts to terminal facility design and has shared her approach at international conferences. Personal fact: At home and away, April loves her two big black dogs, entertaining and two-stepping.

Synopsis: Image, terminal development and brand are all inextricably linked through the lens of passenger experience. At most airports, public relations, brand and logo design have traditionally occurred through independent development efforts. April and Skip will discuss the potential inherent in the synergy of these elements, and how they can be coordinated to achieve maximum impact. Examples from several airports will be used to illustrate, with a more detailed case study of recent work at Louisville Regional Airport.
