Speaker Biograghy: Wilhelm spent 10 years as a Mainframe System Programmer and Project Manager at an insurance company that is headquartered in Munich. As a graduate MBA from Paris Lodron University (Salzburg/Austria), he has worked at Munich Airport for 15 years and is responsible for IT governance and strategy. He has managed several projects related to software development and others aimed at increasing earnings and cutting costs at the airport. In one of his last projects concerning IT strategy, he was the company’s representative for establishing the Mobile Travel Assistant with other German airports. Personal fact: When not involved with IT in one shape or form, Wilhelm enjoys travelling around Europe with his family.

Synopsis: Currently, there is no possibility for passengers to download a single app that guides and assists them during the whole travel chain. Every market participant gives them the support they think is the best. Therefore, a passenger is forced to download several apps from airports, airlines, public transport companies, etc. Imagine the Mobile Travel Assistant supporting a passenger along the entire travel chain, giving them context-relevant information and offering all the support you need at whatever point in the journey you are. The German airports involved would like to show you how this works.
