Kam Jandu, Chief Commercial Officer, Budapest Airport, Hungary

Speaker Biograghy: Kam has been the Chief Commercial Officer for Budapest Airport since September 2013. He is responsible for all passenger and business-related commercial and marketing activities with airlines, ground handling, retail, advertising and transport providers. Prior to this role, Kam was Director Aviation at Budapest Airport since 2009, where in addition to managing the commercial airline relationships, he was responsible for airport operations. Before joining Budapest Airport, Kam gained 10 years' experience in the car rental industry, working for Hertz and Budget, and a further 11 years in the airline industry with BMI and Star Alliance GmbH in senior sales, marketing and operations roles. A British national, Kam holds various managerial qualifications including a Professional Diploma in Management and an MBA from the Open University Business School.

Synopsis: Kam will present the changes in food and beverage offers at the airport over a time period that saw a new terminal built, a changing passenger demographic and the optimisation of square metres to ensure that product offerings and incomes from concessionaires are fit for purpose. BUD has experienced a huge rise in airport satisfaction ratings from passengers, positioning it as one of the best in class for food and beverage offers when compared with similarly sized peer airports in Europe.
