Speaker Biograghy: Rudolf (Rolf) Doerpinghaus started his career as an aerospace writer for various defence, space, maritime and environmental publications, before being appointed Editor-in-Chief of Aerokurier in 1978 and – later – Managing Editor of the Lufthansa Yearbook. In 1993 he was appointed Head of the Press Department of the German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI). After establishing his independent consultancy in 1995, he became Senior Aerospace Advisor to the ILA Berlin Air Show. He also advised the business development organisations of several German states and airports. He set up several aerospace conferences on environmental, safety, security and air transport topics, as well as trade events in China, Japan, Canada and Argentina.
