Speaker Biograghy: Anders has recently retired from his position as Vice President for Security, Safety, Risk and Crisis Management at Swedavia's 10 airports. He was also a member of Swedavia's Corporate Management team since 2010. Prior to that he was Security Manager for Sweden’s largest international airport, Stockholm Arlanda Airport, where he worked since 2005. Anders was also immediate past Chairman of ACI Europe Aviation Security Committee 2011-2013. During his career he was also a member of ACI World Standing Security Committee. Immediately prior to joining Swedavia Group, Anders was a Business Consultant within Mercuri Urval, focusing on change management in large Swedish industrial companies all over the world. Anders has over 21 years' experience within the Swedish Police force, and spent the main part of his career in the Swedish Security Intelligence Service with anti-terrorism and counter-espionage activities. One speciality was an IT project to improve effectiveness in procedures for collecting intelligence.

Synopsis: Threats to aviation are continuous and increasingly complex. Emerging technology enhances an airport's abilities to understand threats, manage resources and monitor operational tempo. These domain awareness technologies can make security more efficient and effective, as well as reducing cost. Multi-disciplinary information systems provide valuable data that can be leveraged for process improvements in a range of security and non-security systems. From video surveillance systems, to social media monitoring, to sensor data from the Internet of Things, airports are presented with a sea of information. This session will examine use of emerging technology and platforms for converting information to actionable intelligence.
