Luke Olsen, Director of Sales & Business Development, Smiths Detection, USA

Speaker Biograghy: Luke became the Director of Sales and Business Development at Smiths Detection in 2014. His current responsibilities include managing the business development and strategic planning for the Smiths Detection aviation security market in the United States. In his previous role at Smiths Detection, Luke successfully led several multi-million-dollar technology programme teams including the Explosives Trace Detection (ETD), Bottle Liquid Scanning (BLS), Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) and Air Cargo programmes in direct support of the TSA. In five years as a program manager, Luke managed and oversaw the production, delivery, installation and service of more than 3,000 pieces of detection equipment to help secure airports, borders and vital installations. Prior to joining Smiths Detection, Luke served as an officer in the United States Air Force, earning the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
