Day 3 - 16 March
Session:
Facilities Maintenance & Management

11:30 - 12:00 - Innovation in design: revolutionising FEGP replacement at Heathrow
Synopsis: Heathrow’s asset management programme seeks to optimise the performance of the airport's asset base, maximise value and reduce risk. This is achieved through focusing on value, sustainability, reliability and resilience. The Fixed Electrical Ground Power (FEGP) project satisfies these objectives through delivering replacement stand equipment in a safe, capital-efficient and timely manner. A case study will be presented to describe how Atkins has helped Heathrow deliver this replacement electrical infrastructure within a highly critical operational environment. The innovative solution developed has reduced the duration of on-site activities by 95%, representing significant value improvement and minimising impact to customers.
