Robert Chicas, Firmwide Director - Aviation + Transportation, HOK, USA

Speaker Biograghy: Robert is Global Director of Aviation + Transportation based in New York. He serves on the HOK Board of Directors, and also sits on the ACI-NA Associates Board of Directors. With over 35 years' experience, Robert specialises in large-scale airport projects and leading multidisciplinary teams through the delivery of complex projects. His current projects include the new Salt Lake City International Airport, and LaGuardia Airport's Central Terminal B in New York. Past projects include the new Indianapolis International Airport, the redevelopment of Terminal C at Newark Liberty International Airport, and Terminal 4 at JFK International Airport. Robert regularly speaks at industry events including Passenger Terminal EXPO and both ACI-NA and ACC/AAAE symposiums, and has authored or contributed to more than a dozen articles in design and aviation trade publications including Passenger Terminal Today, Centerlines and BD+C Magazine. Robert earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Pratt Institute School of Architecture.

16:25 - 17:35 - Panel Discussion: New York's LaGuardia Airport Redevelopment Programme
Synopsis: LaGuardia Airport has been the focus of redevelopment for many years. In 2015 the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey selected LaGuardia Gateway Partners (LGP) as preferred bidder for the Terminal B redevelopment. The project delivery strategy is structured as a public/private partnership, pairing developers, financiers, builders, architects and engineers with the public sector. The mission is to redefine the LaGuardia Airport experience and deliver a world-class airport. This session will present the project, discuss the internal P3 team dynamic, and address the importance of collaboration and teaming with the public sector.
