Dr Charles Marshall, Director Asset Management, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, USA

Speaker Biograghy: Charles holds several professional certifications and is the Director of Asset Management at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), the world’s busiest airport. In 2015 he led ATL’s energy management programme to become the first US airport’s energy management system to be accredited to the ISO 50001 standard. It has won the airport the Environmental Leaders 2016 Top Project Award and the 2016 Institutional Energy Management Award at the World Energy Engineering Congress in Washington, DC. Charles served on the Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) panel with the Transportation Research Board, which developed the first guidebook for water efficiency management at US airports, ACRP Report 154, released in 2016. He is currently an ambassador for ACRP in the southeast USA, advocating for aviation research throughout the southeastern United States. He is also Chair of Evaluating the Environmental Benefits of Electric Air Conditioning and Power at Gates Panel.
