Speaker Biograghy: Sabine is an experienced airport professional with over 20 years in the sector, where she has held a variety of positions in Peru, India and the Philippines, among others. In her current role as Chief Operating Officer at Xi’an International Airport she is responsible for commercial development, focused on delivering high service quality and passenger experience and the optimisation of return from the concession programme. Prior to joining Xi’an Airport, Sabine was responsible for commercial management at Lima Airport, seven-time Skytrax Best Airport South America winner.

Synopsis: Many airports around the world have strategies for targeting Chinese travellers, but in this presentation Xi’an Xianyang International Airport will share how Chinese airports target Chinese travellers. With more than 33m travellers, Xi’an is one of the busiest airports in China, and has developed a retail and F&B offer that caters to Chinese nationals and the important inbound tourist market for Xi’an. I will share insights into Xi’an’s commercial strategy and show how the airport has successfully met the needs of the Chinese market as it diversifies and grows.
