Vince Scanlon, Executive General Manager Planning & Infrastructure, Adelaide Airport Limited, Australia

Speaker Biograghy: Vince has been involved with the aviation industry for over 20 years, with a previous background in consulting engineering and construction management. He was part of the due diligence process during the privatisation of Australian Airports. Subsequent to the sale he was appointed Executive General Manager, Airport Operations and Infrastructure at Adelaide Airport, where his responsibilities encompassed infrastructure, airside safety, security compliance and facilities management. His current role as Executive General Manager Planning & Infrastructure includes masterplanning and development of commercial and aeronautical infrastructure. He provided design input and oversight into the development of Adelaide’s new terminal. This was Australia’s first greenfield terminal to be built in over a decade and the first full common-use facility in Australia. Vince is Chair of the ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Aviation Security Committee and a member of the ACI World Security Committee.

Synopsis: Adelaide Airport Limited leases and operates Adelaide Airport, located 7km from the city centre, adjacent to residential areas. The airport has already been recognised globally for developing Australia's first true common-use terminal and an integrated front-of-house solution, and was ranked 9th Best International Airport in 2016. The current vision and long-term planning concepts take this to the next level, enhancing the gateway to South Australia, one of Lonely Planet's Top 10 Regions to Visit in 2017.
