Speaker Biograghy: Roy Braganza is Director of Airport Services for Remote Check-In at American Airlines. He helped develop and introduce a programme to enable passengers to be processed while still on board the cruise ship, or in hotels and major convention centres. Prior to his current position, Roy worked in various management positions including airport and cargo operations, budget and cost control, consumer relations, training, customer service, sales, marketing, reservations and ticketing. He has been with American Airlines for 33 years.

Synopsis: The horizon of check-in choices for airline travellers was broadened by a programme developed and introduced by American Airlines in 2005. This enhanced programme enables passengers to be processed while still on board the cruise ship, or in hotels or convention centres.The technology advancements have created new opportunities to cut labour costs and reduce facility congestion, as well as improve customer service. This successful programme has resulted in cost savings to American Airlines since its implementation. Roy will share details of the technology required.
