Dorothy Reimold, Assistant Director Security & Travel Facilitation, IATA, USA

Speaker Biograghy: Dorothy (Di) Reimold joined IATA in May 2011 as the Assistant Director for Security and Facilitation. Di has extensive experience in global aviation safety and security issues, and has led international policy development initiatives for the US government and major corporations. At IATA Di plays a key role in developing The Checkpoint of the Future concept for passenger security screening over the next decade. Di’s career in the aviation industry has included a variety of jobs in both government and industry, and spanned a broad range of research, programme development and policy promotion activities. Di was previously employed by the US Federal Aviation Administration, where she was the acting Assistant Administrator for International Aviation and the Senior Advisor for Policy, International Relations and Environment. Di’s responsibilities included multilateral agreements, strategic public-private partnerships and prioritising FAA’s global outreach. Di has a Master of Science degree in Management and Leadership.
